Grimm is an American fantasy police procedural drama series. Created by Stephen Carpenter and produced by Universal Television, Grimm aired on NBC. It lasted for six seasons from October 2011 to March 2017. After the end of the show, fans started looking for other shows like Grimm to satisfy their police drama craving.
Grimm stars David Giuntoli in the main role as Portland homicide detective Nicholas Burkhardt. He discovers he is a Grimm, the latest in a line of guardians sworn to keep the balance between humanity and mythological creatures, known as Wesen.

You cannot have a list of shows like Grimm without Supernatural. This dark fantasy drama television series premiered in September 2005 and it became part of the CW’s lineup.
It was produced by Warner Bros. Television as producer Eric Kripke spent years pitching the show. Kripke planned three seasons originally but expanded it to five. Following the season finale of the fifth season, he left the show as it concluded the main storyline. It continued for 10 more seasons with new showrunners.
When the show aired its 11th season, it became the longest-running American live-action fantasy TV series.
The Vampire Diaries
Here is another fictional and fantasy drama television series. The supernatural teen drama was based on the book series of the same name.
It premiered on the CW network in September and lasted for eight seasons until March 2017. The plot of Vampire Diaries attracted the largest audience of any CW series premiere.

The Originals

This American television series is a spinoff from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It details the ongoing trials of Angel, a vampire whose human soul was restored to him by a Romani curse.
During the majority of the show, Angel works as a private detective in Los Angeles where he and his associates work to help the helpless by restoring their faith and saving the souls of those who have lost their way.
Heroes Reborn
You are probably wondering why we do not have the original superhero serial drama Heroes? Well, Heroes Reborn was a better series.
The six-chapter web series Dark Matters introduced the characters and story of Heroes Reborn. It lasted for one season. The basic premise stayed the same, ordinary people discovering they have special abilities.
Heroes creator Tim Kring said that Heroes Reborn is not the fifth season of Heroes, but actually the 10th season. It is not a direct continuation, as it takes place considerably after the events of the original series.
Lucifer
You cannot ignore one of the best shows on television right now. The American urban fantasy television series stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar. Lucifer is the Devil in the DC Universe, who abandons Hell for Los Angeles where he runs his own nightclub named Lux.
He is also a consultant to the Los Angeles Police Department. The ensemble cast includes Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, and many more.
The first season was not a huge success, but the subsequent seasons were rated much higher. Fox canceled it after three seasons, but one month later, Netflix picked up the series where it continued for three more seasons.
Sleepy Hollow
When you are looking for supernatural drama television series and shows like Grimm, check out Sleepy Hollow. The show aired from September 2013 to March 2014 for four seasons. It is loosely based on the 1820 short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving. There are also added concepts from Rip Van Winkle by Irving.
The first three seasons are set in a fictionalized version of Sleepy Hollow, New York. The fourth and final season moved the setting to Washington DC.
