Teen Wolf is an American supernatural teen drama television series. Jeff Davis developed it for MTV, loosely based on the 1985 movie of the same name. This time, Tyler Posey portrays the title character, a young werewolf who defends his California town from supernatural creatures. How many more TV shows like Teen Wolf do you know?

In the original movie, Michael J Fox portrayed the titular character, but it was all about basketball. The Teen Wolf TV series premiered in June 2011 and lasted for six seasons until September 2017. During its run, the show received positive reviews and won Saturn Award three times. At the same time, it earned 13 Teen Choice Award trophies.

As we said before, Tyler Posey portrays the main character, Scott McCall. Scott is a high school student living in the fictional California town of Beacon Hills. He is the teenage werewolf of the series. He gets bitten by an alpha werewolf the night before his second year, drastically changing his life.

At the beginning of the TV series, he is a relatively unpopular and unknown student. But through the series, he gets more popular and develops romantic feelings for his new classmate Allison Argent. The twist is she comes from a family of werewolf hunters, including her father Chris Argent who is a famous werewolf hunter.

They become embroiled in the supernatural politics of the French Quarter of New Orleans. The three main characters are Mikaelson’s siblings, Klaus, Elijah, and Rebekah.

The first season showed how Klaus’s mystical child is going to be born and speaks about the threats they must face. The second season deals with the return of Klaus, while the third season shows the Mikaelson family facing a prophecy about their downfall.



Some people know the show by the name of Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments. It is an American supernatural drama based on the book series The Mortal Instruments.

It is the second adaptation of the novel series, following the 2013 movie The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.

The Secret Circle

In this show, a young girl finds out that she is destined to slay vampires and demons. After that, she and her friends embark on a journey. With the help of her friends, the young girl fights evil.

But do not let the title misguide you. There is a lot more than just slaying vampires. Sarah Michelle Geller is amazing in the titular role of Buffy Anne Summers.

But while the show is about slaying vampires, it is also about her journey from a naïve teenage girl to a legendary warrior.



David Boreanaz was part of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. And then he got his own show, playing Angel. The show revolves around a cursed vampire who moves to Los Angeles in hope of redeeming himself.

The TV show started as a spinoff to Buffy. But it is amazing to see how it transformed into something much more.

Beauty and the Beast


This Canadian-American science fiction police television series was filmed in Toronto, Canada. It is loosely inspired by the 1987 CBS series of the same name.

The show revolves around Catherine Chandler. She witnessed her mother’s murder and almost killed herself. Someone or something saved her.

Nine years later, she works as a detective for the NYPD. And then a case leads her to Vincent Keller, an ex-soldier who is believed to have been killed in action. But he is alive and together they find out more about who he is.



If you are more into a horror series, watch this one. It is an original show that aired on the Fox network from 1987 to 1988.

It follows the adventures of Eric Cord, played by John J. York. He is a college student transformed into a werewolf.

To get rid himself of the curse, he has to kill the originator of his bloodline.



The show is based on the horror film series, The Omen. Lifetime ordered the show, but it then moved to the A&E network. It lasted for only one season.

Damien follows the life of Damien Thorn, played by Bradley James. He is now a 30-year-old war photographer who has forgotten his Satanic past. And he faces his true identity. Anna Rutledge, played by Barbara Hershey protects him and tries to help him embrace his Antichrist side.



The American teen drama aired on HBO. It is based on the Israeli television miniseries of the same name.

The show has received critical acclaim for its cinematography, story, performance of the cast, and approach to mature subjects. Zendaya and Hunter Schafer play the main roles.

In Teen Wolf, the titular character had to embrace his supernatural character. In this show, we see something similar. Being human is about three roommates who lead a secret life and keep it away from the rest of the world. One is a werewolf, the other is a vampire, and the third one is a ghost.

Josh and Aidan, the two main characters start their journey by moving into an old modern-style home. But they found it is haunted by a ghost named Sally. The three form a friendship and the show goes on from there.
