Denzel Curry is an American rapper, singer, and composer. Born and raised in Carol City, Florida, he started rapping in sixth grade. Born in 1995, Denzel started working on his first mixtape in 2011. At the time, he was in school. Thanks to underground Florida rapper SpaceGhostPurrp, the mixtape got featured on social media.

Curry said that his brother died of an apparent cardiac arrest after going into sepsis from the taser gun and pepper spray.
Until January 2017, Denzel lived with Ronny J, XXXTentacion, and other members of C9. After the death of XXXTentacion, Curry moved to Los Angeles. He immortalized the artist with a tattoo reading “Wing Ridden Angel” on his right forearm.
